Jalen Moore
5’8 – PG – 2018
Moore is a small sophomore point guard for Clovedale that is the second scoring threat for a team that depends a lot of Butler commit Cooper Neese. The 5’8 guard is pretty saavy for his age and handles pressure really well for this part of the state. He’s decent with speed but knows how to get under his defender and get to the basket. Has some quick bursts and uses them well. Not a jumper shooter with his size but solid at finishing around the rim. Will get a little bigger and should be really polished by the time he leaves high school. – 19 points, 2 asst, 8 steals
Cooper Neese
6’4 – SG – 2017
Neese didn’t have a great game but did enough to get Cloverdale the win. He’s got to do a lot for this team, run the point, greab boards, and score as much as he can. He wasn’t efficient in this one going 11/26 for 36 points. Neese struggled at times against Shakamak as they were able to defend him early on and not give up a ton of good looks. He got going later in the game and his mid-range started falling. He showed a little bit of the dribble drive game but wasn’t that effecive with it. He’ll want to add to that as his junior season gets going. It is the next step in his development and could be a great weapon for him. – 36 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals
Shakamak:
Tanner Yeryar
5’11 – PG – 2017
Yeryar is a nice combo guard option for Shakamak. Can score pretty well and does it efficiently. Lacks size to be a off-guard but handles it well enough that he can help on the ball a bit. Could be a nice pickup in a year for a DIII school who needs some scoring. He showed a solid jump shot from beyond the arc. Was aggressive trying to get buckets, especially in the second half as Neese was trying to give Cloverdale some space. – 34 points (13/21), 8 rebounds
Braden Scott
6’4 – SF – 2016
Scott is tall forward who can add versatility to the lineup. He showed today that he can defend quite a few spots, some in the post and on the wing as well. Better as a post defender and picked up a few fouls on driving guards. He can stretch the floor on offense and play, dribble out on the wing. Isn’t great at getting to the rim but in the open floor. Probably falls into a interior forward at the next level who can be moved around a bit. Showed a jump shot but most were at the rim. 11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists
