Dundalk point guard Nick Parrish used a busy offseason attending camps and playing with Crusader Nation to put himself into a position to be the starting point guard with the Owls.
His quickness and passing ability are cornerstones of his game, and he described to PHM what it was he did best this offseason when preparing for his sophomore season.
“I defended better and really worked on not letting my man score,” said the 5-foot-8 point guard. “Also my ability to score has changed my game. I’m a pass first point guard though, and I want to get my team involved first before I get mine.”
Though he’s small in stature right now, Parrish says he’s working to improve his body.
“My body size will improve over the year and that will take my game to another level,” said Parrish, who will be looked upon to lead this season at a young age.
“My role on my team is to lead us to a state title as a point guard, I’m working hard everyday to carry the load as a point guard.”
He has heard little by way of recruitment so far, but has shared an email conversation with Division III program Eastern Mennonite (PA).
“This year I hope to receive offers for college,” said Parrish. “I work harder than the man next to me.”
