We saw him at the PrepHoopsIllinois Combine where he was one of the most athletically impressive prospects on the floor. He uses his long strides and handles to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Williams got in the lane with relative ease scoring at the cup. Also showed he could drill some deep three point shots.
He talked about the camp and where he is looking to improve his game.
“The camp is going well. I am going through this injury with my foot, but it is helping me out a lot. I have been putting in a lot of work in the summer on shooting and dribbling. That is what I need to work on because when I go to college I will have to be a point guard.”
What type of player does Williams see himself as?
“I am a fast player that likes to get up and down the court fast. I have a motor. Shooting still has some work to do. I am working hard on my dribbling and finishing.”
Sleeper senior prospect in the state that should garner interest at the D3, NAIA, and JUCO levels.
