Some Prospects Begin Committing
Here it comes, basketball fans. The start of the college basketball’s early signing period commences on Wednesday, and The Washington Post reported that some Maryland players are officially committing.
Two DeMatha guards, Nate Darling (UAB) and Markelle Fultz (Washington) made their choices for schools in different parts of the nation.
Guard Andew Kostecka of Clarksburg High in Montgomery County will be headed to Loyola University in Baltimore, the team coached by Tubby Smith’s son, G.G. Smith. Kostecka earlier had said he was going to Holy Cross but changed that choice in recent months.
Forward Deivydas Kuzavas from St. Mary’s Ryken will be going to St. Francis (Pa.). Those are players that already committed. Alani Moore of Montrose Christian has orally committed to Temple but the Post reports no signing there yet.
Stay tuned for more news in the coming days as players will be starting to officially commit.
