“We worked very hard in the offseason,” said Carr. “I improved my shot and became better at attacking the basket. We gained a lot of experience as a team from all the work we put in going to team camps and workouts over the course of the offseason.”
Huron has Peyton Carr, Hyland Heinz, Trey Moeding, and Tye Evers all back from last year so expectations are high.
“We have a lot of returning guys and we have good chemistry,” Carr explained. “We want to win the ESD this year (Eastern South Dakota Conference).”
Carr is basketball standout but a football recruit at the moment.
“Nobody really is talking to me about basketball recruiting, more schools are talking to me about football,” Sam said. “Like Dakota State, Dakota Wesleyan, and a couple other schools.”
Carr was a do it all role player/worker last year giving his team about six points and four boards a night last year.
