With that, the Titans and head coach Stephen Danford have graduated and loss a handful of key seniors. However, the Titans have a chance to have new younger players step up to the plate and try and make that push for yet another deep playoff run. 2017 guard 6'0 Max Moses is one of those players who was the help make a difference.
Moses loves playing at Arcadia. He says, “I've made so many friends through basketball and have a great connection with the coaching staff. We consider our basketball team as our family. We do everything together.”
Moses felt summer league was very productive with the Titans as they went 34-14 as a varsity group playing in PV summer league, & camps like GCU Team Camp. A successful summer league always make for good chemistry even before the school year begins.
In July Moses played for Danny Arvizu & the Arizona ACES. July was a very successful month playing in tournaments out in Las Vegas & California with the ACES.
Max has been working with his club coaches BJ Letcher & Danny Arvizu working on his game to get better at “seeing the court” and being a “floor leader.” Additionally he has been training to work on his athleticism including his “vertical leap, strengths and on the court his ball handling, his shooting, and adding some new moves. I am prepared to go against some of the best players in high school.”
Moses says he is really “looking forward to the season. We want to continue to build off of last season and the traditions of winning here at Arcadia. This season will be fun.”
In terms of recruitment, Moses has been invited to GCU Elite Camp and also has spent time talking with Point Loma. Max is looking for “education first. I want to find a school where I can be prepared for a career after I graduate. If I can play basketball and enjoy it like I enjoy Arcadia, that would be great too.
