Allen was one of the most productive players in the state as a freshman. He will look to capitalize on his experience and, with a talented (though inexperienced) group around him, he will be able to help his team grow. Look for him to mount some big time scoring games in his sophomore campaign.
Donald Carter 6’0″ G 2017 Cesar Chavez
Carter will step into the role as the leader for Chavez with the graduation of Tarion May and Rashaad Goolsby. He will be the catalyst for a very young team but is the perfect person to step into the role. He is a hard worker with a defense first mind set and the ability to make plays, especially in transition.
Amiri Chukwuemeka 510î G 2016 McClintock
Chukwuemeka is a gamer. He had a lot of big time scoring nights as a junior and we expect him to have even bigger nights as a senior. The Hawaii Pacific commit sat out the entire month of July so he will play the game with a chip on his shoulder. He also has more help around him this year so defenses will not be able to focus solely on stopping him.
Tim Fuller 6’9″ F/C 2016 Highland
Fuller may be the best back to the basket scorer in the state of Arizona. His size and skill set alone will cause a ton of mismatches for opponents. Look for him to be one of the top interior scorers in his division.
Elijah Thomas 6’5″ G/F 2016 Sunrise Mountain
The 6'5″ Saint Mary's commit had a heckuva a junior year statistically and also began tapping into his potential this summer. He will look to build on that as he has a chance to be one of the most productive players in his section and division.
Omitted
The following players were worthy of Third Team accolades but were omitted from consideration because they do not compete in the AIA with the rest of the players.
Brock Gardner 6'7″ F 2016 Tri-City – Gardner will without doubt have some of the most gaudy numbers in the state as he is, without question, the most dominant performer in the Charter School division. At 6'7″ he is athletic with a high level skill set and great versatility.
