Mr. Basketball Candidates: Zack Norvell

<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">In this series we take a look at the potential candidates for Mr. Basketball in the state of Illinois for this upcoming season.  Here we profile Simeon 2016 shooting guard <strong>Zack Norvell</strong>.</span></span></p><p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Profile:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Norvell is the state’s #2 prospect in the class of 2016.  He is a smooth scoring lefty wing that has consistently gotten better throughout his career and showed he has the ability to take over games when needed.  He is coming off a strong summer with the Mac Irvin Fire where he was one of their primary offensive weapons.</span></span></p> <p><br /> <strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Odds to Win:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">5/1</span></span><br />  </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Why he Can Win:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Simeon.  He is the best player on the state’s premier program and a team that as always will be one of the best 4A teams in the state of Illinois.  Norvell should put up consistent production throughout his senior season while playing in high profile games both in the public league and outside of it. </span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Obstacles to Win:</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Norvell has the history of Simeon players to live up too.  Players like Jabari Parker and Derrick Rose.  Will voters choose a player that, although he is without a doubt a high major recruit and one of the premier players this year, he is not in that same elite five star category.</span></span></p>
