Class B: District 8 Preview

<h2>District 8 teams</h2><p><u>Dunseith. </u>  Finished 14-7 led by an undefeated season at home winning all seven games…Beat St. John twice in the regular season but lost in three overtimes in the district and then lost to Harvey/Wells County in the region by a point…<strong>Trace Azure </strong>is a top 12 player in North Dakota as well as a top twelve prospect...</p> <p><u><strong>Langdon Area.</strong></u>  Midjota/Kensal is the only team they beat last year.  Lost games by an average of 25 points a night…<strong>Brady Samuelson </strong>is the senior leader and was the best player on the team.   Also, watch for sophomore <strong>Jacob Delvo </strong>to make an impact…</p> <p><u><strong>Rolette/Wolford.  </strong></u>The Comets had a nice year going 13-9 before being knocked out by Rolla…<strong>Jason Pfeifer</strong> has skills to play lead guard, score, move the ball, create for others, and defend.  A nice lead guard or a team that will need him to do a lot after so many points graduated…</p> <p><u><strong>Rolla</strong></u>.  The Bulldogs were solid and then a six game losing streak threw everything off.  They played close with St. John during the season but the district game was a 26 point blowout…<strong>Jacob Loing</strong> is their worker guard who battles on both ends..<strong> Karson Schoening</strong> is one of the most underrated basketball players out there, because he is a football recruit.  At 6-foot-5 he is a future NDSU Bison football player but also a big producer on the hardwood…</p> <p><u><strong>St. John. </strong></u> Scored nearly 72 points a game and were undefeated at home…Lost to Four Winds/Minnewaukan 86-73 in the second round of Region play…<strong>Dalton Poitra</strong> scored almost 26 points per game a year ago shooting 48 percent from the floor, 34 percent from the arc, and 87 percent from the foul line…Poitra will get help from sophomore <strong>Klyer McGillis</strong> and junior <strong>Kevin Grant </strong>who were also double figure scorers plus <strong>Seth Vivier </strong>is a 7.3 point per game senior…</p> <p><u><strong>Munich/Starkweather.</strong></u>  Only played JV last year as far as we know but are back together on varsity now...</p>
