Recruiting Report: Daniko Jackson (2016)

<p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Riverside Brookfield is expected to make some major noise again this year during the high school season and a big reason why is their point guard <strong>Daniko Jackson</strong>.  The 5’10” lead guard is a leader on the floor that understands the game and gets his teammates involved.  Also is a solid mid-range jump shooter.  Jackson spoke with us about his final run on the circuit with the Illinois Wolves 17U.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“I started off slow during the spring, but picked it up in the summer and produced a lot for my team.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Where did he see his game develop this summer?</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“Playing with more poise, shooting with more confidence, and picking it up on defense.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Riverside Brookfield will have a great perimeter quartet with Jackson, Skyler Nash, Jalen Clanton, and Henry Trelenberg that should carry them throughout the season.  He spoke with us about how open gyms and fall leagues are going leading up to the season.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">“They have been going good.  It’s been very competitive.”</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Jackson doesn’t hold any offers, but has spoken with Illinois Springfield, University of Mary, and Western Illinois.</span></span></p>
