Preseason All-Region Teams: VHSL 4A East

<p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The entire 4A Classification look different as the realignment not only moved teams in and out, but changed the breakup from North/South to East/West. The biggest change, however, is that there is guaranteed to be a new 4A state champion since the VHSL realignment two years ago, as the two time defending state champs IC Norcom moved down to 3A. That leaves a wide open race for a lot of underrated schools with a lot of under the radar talent. Here’s our picks for the 4A East Preseason All Region Teams.</span></p><h2>MVP: Travius Smith; Senior WF; Lake Taylor</h2><p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The long and freakishly athletic wing is not just typically the most productive player on the floor, he’s the most exciting player as well. Standing 6’4 with a 6’8 wingspan, Smith’s length allows him to create easy transition opportunities with deflections, and when he’s in transition he’s going to finish with style.
