Treasure Coast’s 6-foot-5 shooting guard Charmant Wilchadson has seen some light Division I interest come his way, but still is awaiting hear from any colleges directly.
Right now the interest he’s receiving is being communicated through his high school coach, and Wilchadson is hoping to use his senior season to generate some more serious recruitment.
“My high school coach says he’s talked with Flagler, North Florida, and Georgia State, but I haven’t received any mail or anything like that” said Wilchadson.
“I’m hoping to get more colleges to look at me during my senior season.”
The good-sized guard recently wrapped up playing on the 17U circuit and says his aggressiveness offensively is where he improved most.
“I had just been a shooter, but I learned to be more of a slasher and get to the basket more. I think my ball-handling and my aggressiveness improved, I especially became way more aggressive by the end of the summer,” said the senior guard.
“In high school I’ll be playing the one through four positions this season. I can pass the ball really good for my height and I shoot it really well, especially off the dribble,” said Wilkinson who averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists last season as a junior.
As he gets set for his senior season with the Titans, he says he’ll have to be the team’s top performer.
“My junior year I wasn’t really the star player, but this season I'm going to have to be that go-to guy,” said Wilchadson. “I’m hoping to be one of the best players in the county, and to make a deep playoff run.”
