Summer Stock Risers: 2027 Shooting Guards

With the summer grassroots season nearly complete and most evaluations done until the fall, the recruiting landscape for the Class of 2027 is beginning to take shape. Several prospects elevated their stock with strong performances throughout the June and July live recruiting periods. Florida's 2027 recruiting class features some of the top prospects in the country. Here is a look at a handful of shooting guards in the 2027 class who did the most to boost their recruiting profile this summer.    Douby Jr. starred on the MADE Hoops circuit with Ball By Design this summer and proved why he is one of the state's top backcourt prospects. The rising senior has positional size and length and has shown improvement as a consistent perimeter shot maker and a creator off the dribble. He is an above average athlete with a high basketball IQ. Douby Jr. has visits planned to Saint Louis and UNLV with plenty of other high major programs in pursuit.     One of the top perimeter shot makers in the class, Roche finished a strong offseason with Team Miami on the PUMA Pro 16 circuit. A skilled guard with deep shooting range, the Belen Jesuit product proved this offseason that he is not just a shooter. Roche can pass, attack off the dribble and he moves very well without the ball. He has reported offers this summer from FIU, Chattanooga, Wofford, UTEP, Purdue Fort Wayne, Air Force and others.     Fox saved some of his best basketball for the last PUMA Pro 16 session in Texas where the 1 Family guard led his team in scoring in front of dozens of college coaches. The rising senior is a skilled guard who can put the ball in the basket at all three levels. He is a shooting threat from beyond the arc and is an effective shot creator off the dribble. Fox is capable of attacking the paint off the dribble and finishing above the rim.     Swain led the way for Team Gold Coast at the Power 24 to finish off the summer season. The Coral Glades wing has good length and size and is a reliable shot maker from beyond the arc. He has improved his ability to create and score off the dribble and is an asset on the defensive end of the floor, making him an intriguing two-way prospect.     Manley led the way during July for [program_tooltip program_id='2978810' first='XPC' last='Elite']. The Daytona Beach native is a highly skilled, fast, athletic guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands. He is a shot maker on the catch or off the dribble, sees the floor well and can find open teammates. Manley plays with toughness and has turned himself into a scholarship level prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
