UPCOMING SEASON
Current Roster Makeup: This is one of the more veteran teams in the area but they will need to find another player or two as the season goes along. They have size with Keegan Northern but he might be able to play more of a wing this season with addition of incoming freshman Tyler Stead. Stead should get Varsity minutes and provide depth of size. Logan Ratts and Zach Anderson were big contributors last year and should take steps forward in their games. Both shoot the ball pretty well with Ratts being more of a point and Zach as a straight up shooter. This senior class is solid and if they can put it all together at the end they could have a chance at a special season.
2015-16 Season Outlook: With the talent level of Martinsville, this should be a fairly successful season for them. Keegan Northern will be the big name on this group but they have plenty of talent around him. Their schedule looks winnable with only a few really tough games so 15-18 wins seems about right. Given their move in Sectionals, it should help them get out of that round but they might end up in one of the best Regionals in the entire state. There will be a lot of wins this season for Coach Staggs and the Artesians but the 4A playoffs are always a crapshoot.
