Detroit Lakes. Lost some top guys so repeating 23 wins will be tough.
Fergus Falls. They have the feel of an improved team.
Little Falls. Do they every struggle? Always tough to deal with.
Sartell-Saint Stephen. Don't know much about them any more.
Sauk Rapids-Rice. It's time to take another step Storm. Talent is there.
Thief River Falls. Always in the mix. Can they win the section?
Alexandria. Our pick for this group. Tough inside-out.
Ten Thoughts
- You ever looked at their section seeding, glanced at the records, glanced back to the teams, and wondered, how did they even separate? Records all over the place.
- If there was ever a place where a 2 vs 7 game is equal to the 4 vs 5 it's here. Nobody is every a monster, usually nobody is every really that bad.
- Albany sort of controlled everything last year but don;t worry 8AAA, they have left. It's wide open once again.
- Sauk Rapids-Rice. Kobe Boraas is about to get 25 a game, Cody will push people around to score, Camden Jackson will pace push, and finally this team will make the push that we've expected.
- Alexandria is the team that people should fear though. Jaran Roste is like an Alex Hanks type with more skill but pry not quite to that level of punch you in the face type mentality.
- Little Falls is always good. They are always going to have a .500 record. There are some struggling programs that haven't won double figure games in 20 wins and you have to wonder if they should look to Little Falls for their next coach (assistants I mean).
- No way Detroit Lakes repeats last year. Right? 23-6, that's a heck of a mark. By the way, hard not to think of the Pistons when you hear Detroit Lakes and hoops.
- Bemidji comes down to AAA which is about where they belong. Still don't know that they make the section push though.
- Did somebody break the scoring record of Kyle Sanden at Thief River Falls? Good. hehe
- Always loved watching this section title game in St. Cloud. Great time.
