The 2027 guard consistently impacted the game with his scoring ability, pace, and overall feel for the game.

Martin showed the ability to create offense in multiple ways. He attacked defenders downhill with confidence, made plays in transition, and knocked down perimeter shots when given space. He played under control offensively and did a good job making reads while still staying aggressive looking for his own scoring opportunities.

One of the more impressive parts of Martin’s game was his composure against quality competition. He didn’t force much offensively, kept the ball moving, and made smart decisions throughout the weekend. Defensively, he competed hard on the perimeter and brought steady energy on both ends of the floor.

As the live period went on, Martin continued to produce and looked comfortable in big moments. His all-around play and confidence made him one of the more notable guards in attendance and another prospect coaches should continue monitoring in Virginia’s 2027 class.

Zion was highly impressive throughout the Richmond Live Open 17U session, averaging just under 10.0 PPG while impacting the game far beyond the stat sheet. He didn’t need to carry the scoring load for his team, but his athleticism immediately stood out among the field. At 6-foot-3, Zion possesses elite explosiveness and can rise above defenders with ease, making him arguably the most athletic guard in the tournament. He attacks the rim with force and finishes with authority in transition and half-court situations alike. His motor and physical tools consistently grabbed attention throughout the weekend. As Zion continues to develop and polish his offensive skill set, his long-term upside and potential remain extremely high.
