Paepke was on a tear this Spring/Summer and it looks like he might have suffered an injury that will sideline him for the year.
Paepke would be an ideal player at a school like Colorado Mesa, Westminster or an Adam State and he might be able to get there right off the bat if not getting to an NWAC school could get him to the right school in the right location. He is an electric guard that is starting to really get to an elite athletic level.

Paepke the past few season has been a player that has always played hard. He runs the floor and over time he has also refined his skills. He has added a consistent jumper in the midrange and he has also been solid shooting from deep. Paepke has started to really elevate and he is attacking the rim with no fear. Paepke is turning into a player you cannot ignore, he has next level talent.

Paepke has the skills to really impact a game and he will just have an added roll as he will need to score and defend more than he has in the past. He has shown that he is more that capable, his movement away from the ball is something that really helps because it creates space and easy scoring opportunities for him.

Zach has had a major level up this season. Not only is he a young players making his way into the rotation on one of the best teams in the state but he has been huge for them when the offense has stalled as he provides good shooting and some attacking that you at times do not expect. With a team with players you can’t leave he has been taking advantage of the lack of rotational help. He is really turning into a 3-level scorer. Defense is solid and he plays the passing lanes and reads plays very well. Kid is solid!

One of the biggest pluses about this kids game is that is his movement, he is always moving and he creates a domino effect with his movement because he activates others on the floor to move as well. His movement last night enabled him to get some put-backs and it also lead for him to get some rebounds that extended possessions that wore down a good teams defense. He is doing some valuable things on the floor that will not only help him and his team now but they will help him in the future as well.

Paepke might not get the major minutes or he might not have the ball in his hands a lot but this kid does something on the floor that really standout. His IQ is great and when he gets into the game he provides some extra scoring, some defense and he is just out there doing anything he can to impact the game. He has some length but that desire and drive is something that you can’t ignore.
