I'm Zachary Jiggens, a 6-foot point guard who prides himself on versatility and a high basketball IQ. I've been playing club basketball year-round since I was 6 years old, which has given me a solid foundation and a deep understanding of the game. What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I take pride in being a leader both on and off the court. Whether it's guiding my teammates during a game or setting an example through my work ethic and attitude outside of it, I strive to lead by example. I believe that leadership is about more than just words; it's about actions, consistency, and always pushing myself and those around me to be the best we can be.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of my biggest challenges has been being homeschooled, but it's also given me a unique advantage. The flexibility of homeschooling has allowed me to dedicate more time to working on my game in the gym, as well as focusing on strength training and conditioning. This extra time has helped me to continually improve and stay ahead of the competition, turning a potential challenge into a significant
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college where I can excel in my studies in Sports Science, as I have a strong passion for the field and aspire to become a trainer one day. I'm eager to find a program that not only challenges me academically but also helps me build the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the sports industry.
