Evans was one of the best and purest scorers in attendance, and that ability was on full display throughout the event. He has a great feel for the game and consistently plays out of the advantages he creates, using his speed, strength, and long frame to bully his way into the lane and finish around the rim with an impressive package of college-level guard moves. Playing out of triple-threat situations and utilizing jab steps, Evans is extremely fundamentally sound and does a great job keeping defenders off balance. Despite having the ball in his hands a lot and carrying a significant scoring load, he does not turn it over at a high rate, which is extremely valuable for a primary scorer at the high school level. His mid-range game is another major strength, as he has a smooth pull-up jumper that he can elevate on and knock down over defenders with ease. Evans consistently showed the ability to create his own offense while staying under control and making efficient decisions with the basketball. I expect a massive senior season from this guy as he continues to establish himself as one of the more dangerous scorers to watch.

Evans is a shifty, creative, scoring guard with a good command of the basketball. The rising senior can score at all three levels including the ability to make shots in a variety of ways in the paint and consistently make open perimeter shots from beyond the arc.

Evans is a dynamic scoring guard who combines quickness, strength, and athleticism to impact the game in a variety of ways. A three level scorer, he can knock down perimeter shots, create offense in the midrange, and attack the basket with confidence. Evans is particularly dangerous when driving downhill, where his explosiveness and body control allow him to finish above the rim and through contact. He plays with an aggressive mindset, consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses and creating scoring opportunities for himself. Defensively, he has the physical tools to be a difference maker, using his quickness, strength, and competitiveness to disrupt ball handlers and guard multiple positions.

A high-scoring guard averaging over 21 points per game, Evans has established himself as a go-to offensive option. He excels at creating his own offense off the dribble, using change of pace, body control, and confidence to generate quality looks. With better-than-average foot speed and athleticism, he consistently puts pressure on defenders and gets into scoring areas. Paired with a strong feel for the game, he understands when to attack, when to facilitate, and how to impact winning beyond just putting points on the board.

Xion has next at BEST Academy. He’s a tweener guard, capable of running the show on offense but such a good scorer that he can peel off and play off the ball as a shooter or stay on it as a creator. Evans has a nice feel for the game. He switches speeds and understands where his strong spots on the floor lie. Xion tallied 11.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists as a sophomore.
