Making the trip south from Wisconsin, Temperly didn’t disappoint in Friday’s games for Compete. Temperly’s energy and drive immediately stood out when watching him. He gives 100% on every possession, but he’s not only a hustle player. Temperly also has sharpshooting ability and a reliable stroke from both inside and beyond the arc. Temperly was clearly a leader on the Compete squad, pointing out who teammates should guard when they came into the game, taking responsibility when he directed a play and it didn’t work, and cheering for his teammates despite being the best player on the floor for long stretches of play. Temperly also displayed good help defense, trapping opposing players in the corner on several plays. With a nose for the basketball, high basketball IQ, and leadership potential, Temperly is a player to watch.

A very good young player on a talented squad at Belmont High School, Temperly put up an impressive showing for Team Compete in its win over Nftp Elite. A skilled wing prospect with a soft shooting touch and the ability to use his size and bounce to score in the lane, Temperly had 19 points and three triples for Team Compete . He made some big foul shots late to help secure the victory, and showed the ability to play both guard positions.
