Running into a brick wall is never any fun, but a few members of the Club 52 squad experienced such an encounter when they drove the lane and ran into Freeman. The massive 6-foot-4 post player takes up space and positions himself well on defense, making it an adventure for opponents looking to get to the basket. On the other end, Freeman is outstanding at catching and finishing through contact. He has a soft touch around the basket and rarely has the ball stripped away due to his strength. Freeman finished with 16 points to top Team Compete in its win over Club 52.

Thomas is a bruiser in the paint for Team Compete . Even at 6’4 he plays bigger than his listed height, as defenders simply can’t move him off the block. When he catches in deep post position, he can simply turn over his left shoulder and finish with touch with his right hand. In a matchup with a talented Team 1848 group, Thomas made an instant impact scoring three times within the first few minutes of the game. Strong rebounding presence who does a nice job of clearing out space with a box out before attacking the ball off the rim.

Freeman used his big body, swift footwork and good feel for the game to create havoc for Dftp Elite NXTPRO in a 16U game Saturday morning. The 6-foot-4 forward scored 13 points, had several assists and number rebounds to help his team post a 59-56 victory. Already a two-year varsity performer for Belmont, Freeman is difficult to stop once he gets the ball near the basket because of his good footwork and soft shooting touch.
