Will Slyker Will Slyker 6'2" | PG Lake Travis | 2027 State TX caught my attention with one clean, repeatable action. As the ball moved around the perimeter, he prepared his feet and stayed ready for the next pass. When the ball reached him, it was catch, rise and shoot without wasted movement. That kind of readiness can stretch a defense because the opening does not have to stay open long. I need more possessions before making a larger projection, but the shooting deserved to be noted. Will also appears to have had a great offseason on the weight room. Better preparing himself for the extended leadership role.

Got to see parts of his game on Saturday and not sure there was a shooter in the building with the stroke of the 2027 Point Guard out of Texas. Really versatile offensively with the ability to play on or off the ball. On the ball he’s excellent in the pick and roll. Nice passer with good court vision on the drives. Off the ball he’s excellent running off screens and spotting up being shot ready. Clean stroke with good elevation that makes you surprised when he misses.

Will Slyker is well known as a scoring threat from the perimeter, but his game has grown into much more. He brings a strong physical presence, and his body has matured into a muscular frame. He is just as comfortable attacking the lane as he is letting it fly from the corner. One thing you can always count on is Will being in the right place at the right time. A reflection of strong coaching at both the high school and AAU levels. From the moment he walks into the gym, he is a consistent scoring threat.
