Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
In the final game of his high school career, Lesovitz left it all on the floor in a gritty two-way effort. A sturdy, well-rounded wing, he struggled with his efficiency from the field but was effective in manufacturing points from the line in a game where offense was at a premium. He also stood out with his versatile defense, highlighted by a pair of first half blocks. It wouldn’t surprise if a few scholarship-level programs wind up regretting holding off on recruiting him.

Having quietly risen his way up the program in the shadows of a vaunted 2025 class, Lesovitz has experience under his belt but has raised his stock while being called on to step into a primary scoring role for the first time. He’s answered the bell with consistent double-figure performances even while struggling from the perimeter, showing his versatility as a slasher and active off-ball cutter and crasher. Lesovitz has always been a tough-nosed presence on defense and in the floor game with underrated athleticism and quickness. He’s an under-the-radar option for scholarship-level programs or could prove to be a steal at the high-academic small-college level.

Having gradually worked his way up the rotation over the past several years, Lesovitz will now be counted on as a focal point for the first time as a senior leading a young group under first-year coach Chris Clark. A classic wing guard, he’s emerged as a dangerous shooter from the perimeter with growing abilities attacking closeouts off the bounce and making some reads out of ball screens. His instincts from his years in a complementary role remain apparent, as Lesovitz is an impactful rebounding guard with a similar nose for the ball as a cutter while bringing toughness and versatility to the other end of the floor as well. It will be interesting to see how he fares with more of a scoring load on his plate this year, but scholarship-level programs should be intrigued by his complementary feel and skillset.

Across his last two games at Philly HS Live, Lesovitz averaged 25 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. In SJP’s game against Engineering & Sciences, Lesovitz popped 7 threes. Lesovitz excelled at running to a spot on the fast break, quickly getting his feet and then lacing a transition three. When he was not splashing triples, Lesovitz can used straight line drives to get to rim for lay-ins or to get to his mid-range spots for pull ups. College coaches will love Lesovitz’s high IQ and the fact that he does not force ill-advised shots.

Lesovitz is an in-between guard with a high feel for the game. He finds ways to make an impact on the offensive end of the floor while playing on or off the ball. Simply stated, Lesovitz is a shot maker who will hit from anywhere on the court. He can drain jumpers from the baseline to the mind-range to beyond the arc. Lesovitz can also knock down runners off the glass as well as floaters. His ability to convert on difficult field goal attempts is impressive. Lesovitz’s off the bounce scoring skills are an underrated asset. He can get out on the fast break for lay-ins through contact too. With his size, sneaky athleticism, and nose for the ball, Lesovitz is a plus rebounder.
