Expert Analysis
Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Will was very impressive in Marlboro County’s opening game vs Chesterfield. Despite playing just 14 of 20 minutes with a rolling clock, there was no more important player on the court during those minutes. Early in the game, he made a very smart back cut to get to the free-throw line and start finding a rhythm. Jeffcoat had lots of usage as a pick-and-roll ball handler and was able to set his teammates up with clean pocket passes or get to the rim himself. Will was also impactful as a defender, turning a steal into a score in back-to-back possessions. If this is the type of aggressive, smart Point Guard play Jeffcoat will display all season, there’s no reason why he can’t be an All-Region selection in his Junior Season.
