Will Estep Will Estep 5'10" | PG/SG Mandeville | 2028 LA was one of those guards who continued to earn my attention throughout the Louisiana Prep Hoops Expo Showcase, bringing the same competitive edge whether it was 3-on-3 or 5-on-5 action. In 3-on-3, Will showed that he can play on both sides of the ball by competing defensively, staying connected to his man, and shooting consistently when given space, while the 5-on-5 setting allowed him to showcase his unselfishness within team play. Estep’s game transitions making winning plays that stands out. Taking charges, diving for loose balls, and rebounding from the point guard position attracted my eye to Estep. Will already has meaningful varsity experience at Mandeville and earned Second Team All-District 6-5A honors as a sophomore, so the toughness and confidence he played with at the Expo shouldn’t come as a surprise. What I like most is that Estep doesn’t need to dominate the basketball to impact a game—he’s a tough, dependable 3-and-D guard whose stock is worth watching closely as he continues developing in Louisiana’s 2028 class.
