Weston Jones Weston Jones 6'6" | SF/PF Saline | 2030 MI has been on my pages frequently as of late. Well, he showed me why and deserved to be here again. I liked seeing him get the ball on the wing. Jones consistently attacked the block from the wing in the half court. Even better, he attacked the block in transition as well, which kept great spacing and provided a finishing opportunity.

We covered Weston Jones in an earlier preview article, but for those who don’t know, it’s hard to tell at times where Ann Arbor ends and Saline starts. So his name should be on this list. Coaches and scouts – Refer to the previous article and consider Jones a must see.

The Academy has had a run of really good players, and Jones fits that bill. He’s a quality rebounder who moves well for his height and grade. Jones is not just a tall young player pigeonholed in the paint! He’s a very real threat to score from the outside.

The Academy has made a lot of noise at all levels so far this grassroots season, so it’s no surprise to see them have a 6’5″ skilled player. Plus, Jones is playing up a year. He’s another young and tall player that can face the rim. Jones is a threat with his jumper and must be accounted for on the perimeter.
