About Weston

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

Elite versatility defines my game. I am a positionless player capable of filling any role on the court, combining a lethal shooting stroke with a high-motor rebounding presence. Defensively, I use my skills to disrupt opponents and guard multiple positions, making me a reliable asset in any lineup.

What are you working to improve right now?

I am locked in on enhancing my strength and conditioning. I already use my versatility to defend multiple positions and crash the glass, so adding more muscle will allow me to guard physical bigs and finish through contact even more effectively.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I am looking for a competitive program with a coaching staff dedicated to daily player development. I want to play in a system where my versatility, shooting, and defensive skills can be an immediate asset, and where I will be pushed every day to maximize my potential on both ends of the floor.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I come from a family of five kids. My siblings are all athletes: one plays D1 tennis, one is an elite HS distance runner, one has represented the USA in equestrian and my little brother runs and plays basketball.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I am interested in studying engineering or atmospheric science.

The Academy has made a lot of noise at all levels so far this grassroots season, so it’s no surprise to see them have a 6’5″ skilled player. Plus, Jones is playing up a year. He’s another young and tall player that can face the rim. Jones is a threat with his jumper and must be accounted for on the perimeter.
