Putting that skill on full display across several loud scoring performances, Harper demonstrated he can knock down perimeter shots off the catch as an off ball spot up shooter, create space in the mid range off the dribble for smooth in rhythm pull ups, and effectively attack driving lanes as they develop in the flow of the offense— proving he’s capable of getting to his spots and score from different areas on the floor.

A versatile scorer, Harper showcased his ability to not only knock down outside shots off the catch but also get to his spots in the mid range area off the bounce for clean in rhythm pull ups while also showing a knack for attack driving lanes when they opened up.

The veteran guard for this new Newark Tech group, Va’Shaun Harper Va’Shaun Harper 6'1" | CG Newark Tech | 2027 State NJ had a hot stretch in the first quarter that highlighted his versatile shot making prowess. Getting hot to open things up and giving life to this Terriers group, Harper demonstrated his ability to get to his spots out the triple threat and knock down smooth mid range pull ups, hit in rhythm catch and shoot threes from outside, and even being able to knock down in pull ups in transition from three point range with deep range accuracy.

Extremely effective off the ball throughout the course of the season, Va’Saun Harper showed flashes of being able to knock down open perimeter shots while also attacking closeouts. Harper also showed flashes of being able to create his own shot in appropriate situations. Harper’s sophomore season showed he’s capable of being an effective piece on offense.
