Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
A pogo-stick athlete with a natural build for the game, Jackson has showed steady growth in the past year in developing his skillset and applying his physical gifts consistently as he gains experience in high-level games. In his lone year at Bonner, the hybrid forward showed steady progress, ultimately emerging as one of the best and most versatile defenders in the PCL. His ability to finish explosively around the rim and knock down open shots from the perimeter give him a steady role offensively as he grows in his ability to put the ball on the deck past closeouts. Young for his grade with the possibility of taking a post-grad year, a D2 or JUCO program could benefit from getting their hands on Jackson for the next stage of his development, as he has the natural tools and foundational skillset to one day impact the D1 level.

The most impactful senior transfer in the league, Jackson was a key piece to the equation for an otherwise young Bonner team that made a key jump up the PCL standings. Moving just a mile down the road from Upper Darby (PA), Jackson looked comfortable right away as a lengthy athlete looking to make plays above the rim on either end. He stepped right into and owned an important role as a defensive lynchpin, rebounding and protecting the rim for an undersized group but also showing enticing ability to mirror the ball with opposing guards on the perimeter. Jackson improved throughout the season as the game slowed down for him offensively and he began to show increasingly reliable flashes of floor-spacing and straight-line slashing. Still just 17 years old and with the physical markers for the D1 level, Jackson is the type of late bloomer who could make a D2, JUCO, or prep school program look really smart in the late signing period.

Jackson is a fast and agile hybrid-forward who averaged 6 points and 6 rebounds per game as the fourth / fifth option for Bonner. However, he flashed his scoring potential in several games this year. For example, he posted 17 points and 6 rebounds in a win over Plymouth-Whitemarsh. Jackson recently tallied 16 points and 6 rebounds against Archbishop Wood. Jackson can score in transition as well as on dives to the cup and via the offensive glass. He can also operate in the dunker spot where his wingspan and hops enable him to finish over defenders. Jackson has flashed the ability to step out to the arc and drain a three.
