James, out of Windham High School in Maine, checks in at #29 among the point guards and #197 overall. James has done a lot of winning the last few years, playing a big role in Windham’s back-to-back state championship runs. A bit undersized, he’s another terrific processor that sees the game well and makes quick decisions with the ball in his hands. He’s incredibly quick end to end, delivers passes on time and on target, and uses a quick first step to get by the initial defender as a driver. He makes shots in catch and shoot situations and has some creativity as a finisher around the rim. He’s a solid on-ball defender that uses his quickness to his advantage, creating a high number of deflections and turnovers. He could step in and help a Division III program next year, but also profiles as a quality post-graduate candidate.
