Next up is Tyrek Wright Tyrek Wright 5'11" | PG McBee | 2025 State SC of McBee High School in 1A Region 2. Wright put up 13.4 Points Per Game on 49% shooting from the field in 2023-24. He does a good job of balancing scoring and making plays for teammates. Tyrek is at his best in transition, usually after grabbing defensive rebounds or forcing turnovers. He has good speed, ball handling, and is smart enough to know when to finish or when to dump off to an open player.

Wright a left-handed guard really likes to play the game getting to the basket. He can get downhill in a hurry with the rock. Tyrek really brings good ball pressure to the forefront with his quick hands and relentless edge on the floor. Wright plays in the backfield for the Panthers on the football team during the fall.

Tyrek Wright Tyrek Wright 5'11" | PG McBee | 2025 State SC is a nice prospect from 1A McBee and someone who I was impressed by at the SCBCA Live Team Camp. He played an important role in their second-half turnaround in their win over Bamberg-Erhardt, winning the half 33-7 and sending out a bit of a statement to the rest of the class. Tyrek is an exceptional rebounder for a guard, hauling in 7 Rebounds for the Panthers on Friday. He also has a tight handle, feel for passing, good foot speed, and can finish with either hand in traffic. Wright likes to get out in transition and whether it’s from his ability to rebound and push or force turnovers, he has the ball in his hands there often.

Wright is a very solid athlete for the Class 1A Panthers over in Chesterfield County. Tyrek a wiry left-handed guard also is the Quarterback on Friday nights in the fall for the Panthers.

Wright likes to utilize the floater down the paint when he’s not dropping off a bounce pass to open teammate. Tyrek certainly plays off the grid for the Panthers but on given night can really turn it up in the scoring column.
