Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Bike finalized his recruitment when he announced that he will be staying home and attending the University of New Hampshire. A lefty that’s confident with the ball in his hands, Bike consistently seems to be in full control of the offense. He’s a solid decision maker in transition, does a good job of making the right reads out of ball screens, and can get a bucket himself when needed. He’s a tough finisher in the paint that isn’t afraid of contact and continues to prove that he’s a reliable perimeter shooter. Defensively, he’s a terrific on-ball defender that hounds opposing ball-handlers and loves to compete on that end of the floor. He’s a high IQ player on both ends of the floor and does a great job as a leader. New Hampshire scored a quality early commitment in Bike, who profiles as a potential all league type guard in the America East.

Bike controls the entire flow of the game when he’s on the court. When he has the ball in his hands, you have a sense of confidence and security, because he’s going to make the correct play every time, even if it doesn’t earn him an assist or points. He’s got special pick and roll chops; he sets up his defender well, and he puts the defender in jail once he uses the screen. The game looks slow for Bike when he’s rolling. Once he gets in the lane, Bike uses phenomenal footwork and craft to outsmart taller and more athletic defenders. Bike could play at any NESCAC school he wants, or probably some low level D1’s.

Bike, who made the transition from the NHIAA to the NEPSAC look smooth last winter, followed it up with a strong showing on the travel circuit with the Middlesex Magic. A savy floor general, Bike does a great job of initiating offense and finding his teammates in positions to score. While he’s capable of getting his own baskets, particularly as a perimeter shooter, he’s one of the region’s top ball screen decision makers. The lefty has a solid frame, can finish through contact, and doesn’t get bumped off his spots when he has the ball. He’s a terrific passer that makes the difficult ones look easy and the easy ones look routine. He does a good job of changing speeds, can slip through tight spaces, and delivers his passes on time and on target. His competitiveness comes through on the defensive end of the floor where he’s solid on the ball. He turned the heads of D1’s this summer and could add to his offer list this fall.

Bike is as solid as it gets. You always feel confident when the southpaw has the ball because he makes great decisions and can really handle it while being pressured. He controls the entire offense and is constantly directing his teammates where to go, and his passing/playmaking instincts are great; he’s a phenomenal pocket passer out of the pick and roll. He also plays hard on defense and makes up for his lack of size with quick feet.
