Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Arriving shortly after tipoff after trekking down from Connecticut, Burth wasted no time making his mark in his debut with WeR1 while bringing his typical lunchpail style of play. An old school ‘4’-man, the New York native plays with a chip on his shoulder while hitting the glass with a purpose on both ends. He finishes effectively in traffic with strong hands and effective touch. Burth impressed most on Saturday with his ability to quarterback the defense as a vocal leader and active backline patroller. Despite the current focus on the transfer portal from a recruiting standpoint, Burth’s blue-collar approach and a ready-made translatable skill in his rebounding make him worthy of heavy D1 attention late in the cycle.

Another consistent performance from Burth who seems to be a walking double figure scorer without a play being drawn up. His motor is very strong and always finds a way to battle to get what he wants. Burth had 20 points in his team’s loss to St. Thomas Moore (CT). He also used his length to block shots and rebound. College coaches need to get out and get their eyes on Burth!

stood out for his athleticism and high motor at 6 foot 9. He was a fluid mover who looked smooth moving up and down the floor and slamming dunks through the net. He was dominating down low in the post by grabbing tons of rebounds, and competing on every loose ball or miss by his team. He even finished strong with putbacks and alley-oops as a lob threat.

Burth is a younger member of the class of 2024 who plans on doing a post-graduate year. At 6-foot-8, it looks like he may still grow a bit more. He’s a hard working post with good touch and the ability to shoot it well from the short corner .
