Tolbert came off the bench for NHE however his impact kept him in the game in high-leverage moments throughout the tournament. Tolbert is a decent defender who competes for steals and plays bigger than his height.
On the offensive end Tolbert uses his creativity with his handle and his speed to blow past his defenders. After getting past his defenders he was one of the best finishers on the team. Tolbert finished well around the rim by using veer steps to cut off defenders neutralizing their size advantage. He also was able to finish through contact well.

Tolbert has the combination of size, and the fact that he’s a lefty. The southpaw has a nice touch from about 15 feet in. For a player of his size he moves well. Don’t be suprised to see the sleeper forward attract attention during Circuit season.

He makes sly and intelligent cuts to the basket, creating high percentage shots for himself and his team. He has a very controlled game, doesn’t fold when being pressured, knows how to space the floor and understands how to get into lanes for opportunities to score or pass to open shooters. Tolbert has quick defensive hands which allows him to poke balls free and create fast break opportunities. Tolbert brings energy and intelligence to the court and will spark any lineup with his play.
