Ripley, a physical big man out of Belfast Area High School in Maine, is a prospect that knows what he does well and doesn’t play outside of himself. He’s big, physical, and strong, and plays with a toughness that intimidates. He’s got some quickness in small spaces and rotates quickly from the help side to block shots. He walls up in the paint, communicates from the back line of defense, and is a terrific rebounder in traffic. Offensively, he runs the floor rim to rim, has the ability to hold space on the block, and is capable of finishing with either hand. He sets solid screens, rolls hard to the rim, and shows some signs of touch in the mid-range.
