About Trenton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a high-energy, unselfish player who always hustles for the ball and puts the team first. As a 5'11" point guard, I focus on reading the floor, making smart plays, and creating opportunities for my teammates. I’m also versatile—I can switch to small forward when needed and help drive the offense or lock in on defense. My goal is always to bring intensity, leadership, and smart decision-making.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a team-first mentality and a strong work ethic. I stay focused, coach able, and always look for ways to improve. Whether it’s practice or game time, I bring energy, stay positive, and lead by example. I don’t back down from challenges and I take pride in doing the little things that help the team win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Right now, I’m focused on finding the right AAU team and continuing to grow as a basketball player, but I also stay active outside of sports. I’ve been working, volunteer work, church groups, or helping younger basketball players improve , and I always make sure to keep my grades up. I take pride in being responsible, disciplined, and someone people can count on, whether it’s on or off the floor

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through basketball. As a point guard, I’ve learned how to communicate clearly, keep my teammates involved, and stay calm under pressure. I lead by example by hustling on every play and staying focused whether we’re up or down. Off the court, I’m respectful, coach able, and always willing to help others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced a couple of tough injuries that tested me both physically and mentally. Last year, I tore two muscles in my ankle and had to miss the last few games of the season. Back in 8th grade, I also had to have surgery after tearing something in my leg. Both times, it was hard to sit out and not be on the court, but those experiences taught me patience.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that feels like a family — a place where the team supports each other, the coaches believe in their players, and everyone works toward the same goal. I want to be part of a program that pushes me to grow as a player, a student, and a person. I’m looking for a school where I can contribute, learn, and build strong relationships on and off the court.
