Charles Clark | Prep Hoops Scout
Another late pickup for Lenoir CC, Lewis is one of the latest to join a strong recruiting class for LCC and he brings the attitude and work ethic that should make him successful. He has been a part of a winning program at Lumberton over the past few seasons and although he may be considered undersized for a Power Forward, he does not allow himself to get outworked by taller opponents.

Whenever he steps on the floor, you can know for certain that this young man is going to bring toughness in the paint and the ability to rebound the ball. He provided a much-needed interior presence for his team in this event and made some plays down the stretch of games to help them take home the championship.

Standing at close to 6’4, he’s shorter than your typical Forward but he makes up for what he may lack in height with his strength and how hard he plays. He constantly battles inside the paint for positioning, can score inside at a solid rate but also showed some ability to knock down shots from the perimeter.

Always brings a nice interior presence for his team and their matchups at the end of the week were no different as he made a nice impact in the paint on both ends of the floor. He embraces playing through contact, sets good screens, can step out and shoot it on occasion and still has a good amount of upside in his game.

A player that didn’t have a big-time day scoring the ball but a huge impact on the game simply off of his ability to rebound the ball, he finished with 14 Rebounds on the day and continues to show why a smaller college should take a close look at him. A legit 6’4/6’5 that can play the game in a very physical manner, he understands how to use his strength to battle inside the paint for rebounds against players that may be taller than him in height.

Led the way in scoring and rebounding for his team in their matchup with 71st HS. They struggled as a team with their perimeter shooting which allowed him to make a high impact inside the paint and he used his strength to defend the opposing post players. Schools that are looking for a player that doesn’t mind doing the dirty work and still has a solid amount of upside should give him a call.

A huge part of the reason why LHS was able to take home the Robeson County Shootout in dominate fashion, he was absolutely dominant rebounding the ball and scoring inside the paint. He has no problem playing the game in a physical manner or doing any of the dirty work, which is something that you have to love to see. If the Pirates hope to make a push for another state championship, they will need some big-time performances from Lewis in the paint which we believe he is fully capable of.

Lewis is a new face in the 2024 rankings at No. 80 in the latest update at Lumberton High. He’s due for a big junior season given his ability to operate at either forward spot and in the paint area as an anchor on the defensive end of the floor. He’s a sizeable prospect at 6-foot-5 that plays with a ton of physicality on the floor.
