Carter-Brown has a lot of skills that show to be important for his team, but the one that catches my eye the most is his passing ability. He is patient with the ball in his hands and does a great job of always making the right read and finding open teammates. He has a great three-point shot, as he proved that in the Metro Holiday Tournament. One other aspect of his game is his defense; he does a great job sliding his feet and staying in front of his defender as he averages just over a steal a game. Overall a great all around prospect who is continuing to get better.

He can do so when needed mos, as well, as the Creighton Prep product definitely has the clutch gene, making big shots at the end of the game to seal a few wins for his team during the school year and for ETG this summer.

A leader on the court, Carter-Brown is what the modern point guard should be — a floor general that can create for himself and for others. His ability to contort his body and find a way to score (reverse layups, maneuvering around defenders, etc.) near the rim is exactly what he has to do, given his lack of size. That, plus being able to consistently hit a floater when he steps into the paint makes him a threat to score anytime — again, exactly what’s needed for his size. With a quick first step and a good handle, Carter-Brown may not bring an intimidating physical presence to the court, but he lets his play do the talking.

He uses his speed and his handle to take advantage of bigger slower defenders on offense. Carter-Brown is a serviceable shooter who takes advantage of catch and shoot opportunities.

He is a solid passer who often makes the right decision most of the time.

On defense he punches above his size using his speed and activity to bother ball handlers and force turnovers.

He can improve as a finisher as traffic can bother him at times but overall, he is a reliable guard to have on your team.
