Tommy Misukanis
About Tommy
Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Misukanis is 6-foot-10 and has a cerebral nature to his offensive game. He can pass the ball a little bit when he gets post touches, and the lefty is able to finish around the rim with some touch as well. He also does a good job catching the ball for a guy his size, even in small spaces. Defensively, the senior slides his feet better than you’d expect on the perimeter, and some added strength would probably better allow him to get a large number of offensive rebounds. Misukanis is going to find a D3 fit by the end of the year if only because of his combination of size and finishing ability.

Tommy Misukanis Tommy Misukanis 6'10" | PF Frederick Gunn | 2026 State New E acted as the garbage man for the Frederick Gunn squad and was very effective in doing so. He was finishing around the rim with a soft touch and used his height advantage well. His ability to grab rebounds through traffic was very noble and led to second-chance points which he thrived on. Lastly, he never gave up on a play and rebounded his own misses and that level of perseverance should lend itself well for Frederick Gunn to continue their winning ways and be productive on the basketball court.

Misukanis, a newcomer to the region via Minnesota, is another prospect that made his way onto our radar at the NEPSAC Showcase. A long and lean forward, Misukanis is a highly intelligent defender that has a great sense of how to defend in ball screen actions. He moves his feet well, has great length, and does a good job of contesting shots at the rim without fouling. While lean, he doesn’t shy away from contact, which was a pleasant surprise. Offensively, he does a great job of setting screens and then rolling hard to the rim. He has good hands, a big catch radius, and the ability to finish on the move. The lefty does a great job of sealing in the paint, showing his hands, and keeping the ball high once he catches it. If he can add some muscle mass and improve his strength, he should drastically increase his ceiling as a prospect. As it stands now, he’s a high academic recruit that has attracted the attention of some of the best academic schools in the country.

Tommy Misukanis Tommy Misukanis 6'10" | PF Frederick Gunn | 2026 State New E is a long and lanky forward with tons of upside left to tap into. What stands out the most about his game on the offensive end is the interior finishing. Misukanis is a willing roll man who has great touch, using it to finish almost anything close to the basket to score points and be highly efficient. His rebounding effort is outstanding on both ends and shows great instincts protecting the rim down low and playing in drop coverage. Misukanis has also shown a potential to stretch the floor, knocking down threes off the catch with a left-handed stroke. With added weight, he could be a player who could impact winning in multiple ways and should be monitored by programs and coaches alike.
