A lengthy mobile 2 man with a high motor. Used his length to impact the game in the boarding department where on the offensive end he came away with multiple put backs. Garakat pushes coast to coast when gaining possession and can finish with either hand at the rim. In the ½ court setting he demonstrated some feel with a hesitation then drive and kickout for assist and added perimeter versatility with a knock down 3. On the defensive side he walled up a couple of times for clean blocks. Intriguing prospect from Glenbard South to track.

Garakat brings a useful combination of size, shooting, and defensive activity to the 2 position. He displayed strong rebounding skills for his position and showed enough offensive vision to make plays beyond simply knocking down the outside shot. His defensive motor also stood out, particularly in full-court press. The biggest area for growth for Garakat is his passing decision-making and ensuring he doesn’t throw the ball into traffic, but there is plenty here to get excited about and for coaches to work with at the next level.
