I liked how steady TJ played at the guard spot next to Averi. He was more of a facilitator in his two bracket games, setting up shooters and penetrating the lane to shift the defense. Found himself open a lot behind the arc, knocked a few down but hoped for a bit more consistency with the open makes. However, TJ was all-effort on the defensive side. Tracked down a lot of rebounds, picked up a lot of steals with his pressure defense and quick zone rotation. He got out on the break and kept his head up, always advancing the ball and scoping out trailers for the transition 3-ball.TJ put his head down a few times and took it strong to the rim, but was more impressive to me just holding things down at guard and defending hard.
