Sherer is tough as nails and doesn’t back down from attacking bigger defenders. He defends with physicality and goes after loose balls. He is a good ball handler, a leader and a winner. He hit the three-ball at the Expo and showed how disruptive he can be on defense.

One player can’t win a state title all by himself. Jaxson Brandl was unbelievable down the stretch last year, but he needed a good collection of talent around him to win the 1A Div. II title last year. Sherer is a team leader who really locks down on defense. He’s quick and pesky and smart. He is an effective shooter who draws the defense away from the Jackrabbits’ other scorers.
