Johnson Jr. emerged as one of the more under the radar frontcourt prospects this spring, consistently impacting games with his size, length, and defensive presence. A high academic prospect, he is an elite shot blocker who uses outstanding timing and instincts to protect the rim and alter countless shots in the paint. His combination of size and reach makes him a difficult matchup around the basket, while his mobility allows him to cover ground defensively. Offensively, Johnson is an effective lob threat who finishes well above the rim and provides vertical spacing in the half court and transition game. He rebounds outside of his area, displaying a relentless motor and willingness to compete on every possession. His energy, rim protection, rebounding ability, and developing overall game make him a prospect whose stock is trending upward.
Johnson anchors the paint defensively with his length and shot-blocking instincts. The long-armed forward consistently alters shots and high-points rebounds above traffic. As his physical strength improves, his offensive consistency around the basket continues growing as well.
Tim is developing reliable baby hooks and finishes strong with dunks around the rim. The defensive tools already attract attention and his recruitment steadily gains steam. If the offensive confidence keeps progressing, Johnson’s stock should continue climbing quickly.
One of the more intriguing prospects in the state’s 2027 class, Johnson is a slightly under the radar big man with impactful tools. He’s a high level shot blocker with excellent size, length, and timing, making him a consistent presence in the paint. Offensively, he’s an effective lob threat, while on the glass he rebounds out of his area and plays with a high motor that translates on both ends of the floor.
Still a relatively under the radar prospect, Johnson is well on his way to changing that this spring and summer. The big man is a high level shot blocker with excellent size, length, and timing, making him a presence in the paint. Offensively, he’s an effective lob threat, rebounds out of his area and plays with a high motor. A high-academic prospect, Johnson earned All-State honors this season at Bowdon after averaging a double-double for the Red Devils.
Sleeper has extreme height and length. Averaged 10.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks. Runs the floor well. Has upside in the pick-and-roll game.
