About Tatum

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Looks to get the team going, a shooter, always trying to make the right play. A leader

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Strong mentality, focused on task, a motivator for my teammates.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been a leader since I was young. My personality and demeanor outweigh my size most definitely. This summer I worked for a summer youth program and I helped with the elderly in the community with the lawns, trash, and other things they needed help with.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I have! I have been undersized my whole basketball career but I keep pushing because that is what my father as taught me. I have out played many players bigger, faster, and more skilled then me because I believe in myself. If I can get one bucket, one steal, or a rebound over my opponent, I know I will be fine and the rest will follow through.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to play for our local college or United Tribes Technical College like my brother Jalen Poitra who was well known in ND and SD. Looking to get an opportunity to show my talent and help a team win.

Tatum is an unselfish guard who was always scanning the floor looking for an open teammate. Did a nice job of passing the ball ahead when the chance was there, and had a couple of nice drive and kick passes. Sees the floor well and is capable of handling the ball under pressure.
