-Loved the physicality and well-rounded skillset from the undersized W/F prospect on the Cadets’ JV team. Burgess crashed the offensive boards, knocked down a C+S 3 from above the break, and flew around defensively for his team to serve as a disruptor for an undersized SJC group. Burgess snagged an offensive rebound in traffic and pivoted nicely to the opposite side of the rim to finish with the extension lay, timed his face cuts to the rim well, and served as a good dump-off option for his guards– finishing through some tight windows and double teams throughout the night. Best sequence of the day was a recovery block and rebound to ignite the fastbreak before walking into a deep C+S 3 at the opposite end. Really intrigued to track his progress this summer to see what his circle prioritizes with his development.
