He can score efficiently in his own right, consistently getting downhill and finishing through traffic while changing angles and using quick extensions to stretch around shot blockers. Throughout the day, Byrd battled on the defensive end and showed his willingness to make winning plays in a variety of ways. Offensively, he did a nice job creating paint touches and kicking out to shooters while also moving well without the ball and finding easy scoring opportunities on cuts to the rim. His combination of toughness, effort, and ability to impact the game without needing the ball in his hands makes him a valuable piece. Byrd looks set for a big senior year and is a player worth keeping a close eye on moving forward.

The lead guard is consistently getting downhill and attacking the basket with speed and purpose. He consistently puts pressure on interior defenses, slicing through gaps and finishing around the rim with a crafty array of moves in traffic. Beyond his scoring ability, Byrd impacts the game in several ways, ripping down rebounds and doing the little things that help his team win.
