He’s developing quickly and his start this season backs that up – he’s averaging 24 points and 11 rebounds on nearly 50% shooting through his first three games. He’s a spark plug for his squad, especially on the offensive end, pure hustle and heart and not afraid to make his presence known vocally. He’s got great vision on the drive, frequently kicking it to teammates with success for easy points in transition. His pump fakes are next level which make him an absolute handful to defend and he stretches the floor nicely with a shooting range that extends beyond the arc.

Shawn is a tenacious, energetic player that can ignite a fire under his team on both ends of the floor. He’s an excellent defender with great anticipation often picking passing lanes and taking it the other way for an easy deuce. He’s got active hands and is constantly in the face of his opposition, making their day miserable with each impressive play after the other. He’s an absolute beast on the boards, racking them up with regularity on both ends of the court. He fills out the stat sheet with beautiful balance and is a true gamechanger and a winning player. He never shies from contact and he always keeps a next play mentality, which coaches and scouts alike love to see. I expect Hall to continue to make a name for himself this weekend and beyond.

He can knock it down from beyond the arc and he knows how to get to his spots and stay ready at all times. He has no fear, often finishing through contact and being the first one in the mix for loose balls and challenging rebounds. He has an incredibly quick release on his jumper that he’ll utilize in an instant if his defender decides to give him any amount of space. He’s an impact player – one that can change the momentum for his squad and lead by example. I expect Hall to continue getting better and better and to keep ascending throughout his high school career.

Shawn is a speedy, skilled guard that can fill up the stat sheet in a plethora of ways. His defense is special to watch – stays in front of his man, never falls asleep or has a lazy moment, and is constantly swatting or stealing the ball to make his opponents incredibly frustrated. He seems to be involved on every play on both ends of the court and he’s a monster on the glass – regularly grabbing second and sometimes third opportunities for his team. If you put up a lazy shot, he’ll send it to the rafters and then score on the other end. Hall comes across to me as an incredibly hungry player that makes the most of his opportunities. That mentality will serve him well as he gains more and more attention throughout his high school career.
