is a guy I’ve been high on for a while now. A recent Virginia Tech football commit, I felt like it was still appropriate to highlight what he can do on the hardwood. With a bright future playing ACC football on his horizon, the dual-sport athlete has one more year of organized basketball left in his career. You better believe he’ll seize it. There is no doubt the 6’3″ combo guard will be an integral part of this team’s identity heading into 2024-2025. Peterkin’s athleticism sets him apart. A lethal wide receiver in the fall, his supreme footwork, hand-eye coordination, and translate into an elite scorer on the basketball court. Peterkin is a tough, physical guard who thrives when he is playing on the ball. He’s an elite downhill driver who has proven he can finish through contact and make plays. Peterkin is a versatile shooter who can do damage around the perimeter and behind the three-point line off the dribble or catch and shoot. His leadership on and off the floor give him credibility for his teammates to trust him to make the right plays at the right time. Peterkin is an elite, hard-working defender who utilities his football fundamentals to his advantage when guarding and rebounding. With a Mount Tabor team that needs their best out of

Peterkin remains an underrecruited name in the state of North Carolina’s 2025 rankings despite terrorizing opponents on the hardwood with his ability to attack the rim off the bounce. He’s a menace on the hardwood and the football field at Mount Tabor High for prospects to get to know given his athleticism and ability to lead at the guard position.

Peterkin motored along all night long, dropping in 16 points in the victory. He showed off elite athleticism, both getting downhill and getting above the rim, making some highlight plays on both ends of the floor. He can be a shot blocker and a rebounder defensively. Offensively, he likes to either get to the rim and get on it or knock down mid-range pull up jumpers. He’s for sure a next level player, and his basketball career will depend on what he decides to do for football.

Peterkin is a name much adored by scouts and others across the basketball world for good reason. He’s incredibly bouncy and a constant threat to attack the rim, whether by himself on the drive or with teammates finding him off the ball. He also knocks down pull-ups off the bounce, especially in the mid-range. He’s improving his perimeter jumper but continues to be a real threat inside the arc. A two-sport athlete, he should have a big year both on the gridiron and the hardwood.

is the most explosive guard in the class of 2025. His speed enhances every part of his game, especially on the offensive end. At 6’3″, with his speed, Peterkin is one of the fastest-rising prospects we’ve seen in a while. His lateral quickness, foot mobility, and full-court sprint are the foundation of his game. Peterkin’s got a quick handle. He is a problem with the ball in his hands from anywhere on the floor. He can play on and off the ball with patience and poise. Peterkin is crafty in the lane, a big-time finisher, and knows how to get to his spots. He’s got a consistent mid-range game and an evolving three-ball, when polished, will add yet another level of versatility to his game. Peterkin is a competitor on defense. He’s got the length, size, and speed that make him a big-time defender. His athleticism allows him to get takeaways that put him in a prime position to score in the fast break. Peterkin is a strong defensive rebounder who competes on the glass every time a shot goes up. He has excellent awareness and control of his body and stays out of foul trouble. Peterkin is a competitive, reliable defender who can get the job done. With a Mount Tabor program with a monumental season on the line,
