Souter may not have the best size as a 5’11” point guard but he was a huge difference maker for Walter Payton. My favorite part of his game might be his ability to cut to the rim off the ball. Finding his way quite a bit that way against rolling meadows. A strong frame also allowed him to finish contested buckets in transition and even hit a three-pointer. Not afraid to pass it up when necessary. A guy that makes a difference.
