Perri, a Class B All-NEPSAC selection, has committed to continue his academic and athletic careers at Wheaton College. A high IQ scoring guard, Perri has an impressive offensive game. He’s a capable shooter from the perimeter and does a good job of picking his spots to get into his pull-up game. He has great length that allows him to finish over defenders at the rim on drives. What stands out the most might be his willingness to play in structure; he makes quick decisions with the ball, doesn’t try to do too much, and deliever qualities passes to his teammates in scoring positions. With good size and the afformentioned length, he has some tools that should allow him to be a versatile defender at the next level. He profiles as a prospect that, with some added strength, should have a productive four year career in the NEWMAC.

That Perri plays with a high basketball IQ isn’t surprising (given that he is a coach’s son), but what stood out when we were in the gym was the advancements he’s made in his offensive game over the last year. Known as a high level shooter, Perri showed an ability to score at the rim and in the mid-range, while also making smart decisions off the bounce. He has good size and length on the wing and is a switchable perimeter defender. I’d expect him to be a key piece for Roxbury Latin this winter, who could see his recruitment grow if he continues to expand his game as he has this fall.
