-Proved his value all season long and in a productive run through the DCIAAs as a dynamic 2-way guard that is constantly bullying his way to the rim. The physicality translates to the other side of the ball as Hall can guard up or down several positions in the lineup because of his strength, giving the Roughriders a dynamic switchable senior that knows where to be at all times. Love the motor and energy that he brings to the floor every night as the senior leader for this group.

Sean set the tone early with his two-way athleticism and constant rim pressure. He jumped a passing lane and finished a dunk on the other end to start the game, then later caused another turnover that turned into an alley-oop finish. Offensively he was a problem attacking closeouts, finishing drives off with athletic dunks. He also stretched the floor by drilling a deep wing three, showing he can stretch the floor when needed. Sean competed hard on the glass and consistently hustled for rebounds as well. In the half court he mixed in midrange touch with short jumpers and spot-up looks. Defensively he stood out as a backside helper in the zone, rotating on time and protecting the rim. Late in the game he capped his performance with another transition dunk to push the lead and leave his impact on the floor.

I had the pleasure of talking to the T. Roosevelt team in December. And I stated to them all the key to their season would be the play of their leader

. Sean might not have the dominate stats that would warrant instant POY votes. But it’s his overall skill set and ability to impact all facets of the game for the 12-1 conference and 21-3 overall record Rough Riders team. Sean can dominate the game without being a dominant scorer (12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.)

Given his flashes of pure dominance on both ends of the floor, there’s clearly a lot to like. Sean is a well put together forward, high-motor forward who already knows how to physically overwhelm opponents in various ways. He’s a powerful finisher who plays through contact and above the rim. He possesses useful ball skills, midrange shooting, and bursts of two-way versatility. Hall can defend multiple positions and force turnovers leading to transition play. He’s also a tenacious rebounder who consistently earns second-chance opportunities. Next in his development process is working on becoming a more reliable three-point shooter, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain. The versatile forward finish the game with 20 points, is the glue guy on this team. Does all the little things that just don’t show up in the stat sheet. Hits the glass and push it in the break. Sean has a smooth relentless motor. Will be the key to the Rough Riders winning the always tough DCIAA and DCSAA titles this year. With his overall skill set he is a college level prospect.

Sean was a top player on both sides of the ball for Roosevelt during the whole season and continued to be that consistent player during the summer. Sean is reliable as a versatile wing defender who can guard multiple positions. While he is quick enough to defend on the perimeter, Sean is fearless and aggressive in the paint. Uses all of his size and makes his presence felt defensively each game.

-Hall always serves as an effective piece for TR as a physical slashing G/F tweener. He has a nose for the basketball and comes seemingly out of nowhere to steal away rebounds or grab a miss and laying the ball up before the defense can react. Hall is an effective driver with the ball in his hands and has really worked on his footwork around the basket to create efficient finishing angles around the rim to score around taller defenders. Love his upside as a help defender with great feel that understands when he needs to rotate over to help but also recovers well to the ball on closeouts without giving up driving lanes to the basket.

Over the years, Sean has grown from a defensive-minded athlete to a solid 2-way prospect. It has been nice to watch Sean develop with Roosevelt as now he is the face of a young team looking to be one of the best in DC. He’s good for a double-double in points and rebounds each time he steps out on the floor. Grabs rebounds and shoots down the floor for the coast-to-coast basket if the defense fails to stop his drive. Shooting the ball more efficiently from the field now and looking stronger at the rim. Plays his heart out each and every game for the team which helps them keep pace with more-talented opponents.

-Hall is definitely bound to move way up in our rankings as an impactful wing prospect that plays incredibly hard at both ends of the floor. Hall was incredibly dynamic in transition– blocking shots, initiating fastbreaks with defensive rebounds to close out possessions, finishing with 2 hands above the rim, and running the floor well to space out the defense. He rebounds at a very high level for his height and position, doing a great job of snagging boards out of his area because of his instincts and tenacity. Defensively, he is pretty dynamic as a guard prospect that can comfortably guard 1-3 and do well on switches with forwards. His motor, communication, and aggression were very impactful in his team closing out a good Patriot group.

Sean plays a hard and motivated brand of basketball. Brings full effort and energy on both sides of the floor. Really like the way he takes it upon himself to fight on the glass and own the backboard. Sets up a lot of second-chance opportunities for Roosevelt and finishes the putbacks as well. Sean can really change the game with his defensive tenacity, timing steals and blocks well and running the floor hard. A true weapon on the floor for Roosevelt with his athleticism and versatility as a defender.
